This is both the experiences of my family and my husbands family during this time. My dad is the man who had walked home from breman after his car slid off the road coming home from work. He had worked a double shift and had to be exhausted besides the cold. Still so thankful my dad survived that day. The people digging off the roof and riding out on a horse then a tracter are my husband and his family. Their aunt was stuck on the hill on 668 south. My family went skating on a pond at my grandparents and we all built a snow fort had a huge snowball fight and built snow men. So many tough memories for people trying to stay warm and reach their homes. But so many good memories to. The winter storm of 1978.
