I bought this 1988 Chevrolet Corvette (C4) in 2013 and sold it in 2020. The car was converted to Right Hand Drive.
I worked a lot on the interior, as it was looking very tired and worn when I first bought it. Did it all myself.
The car came with two detachable roofs. OneI was a smoked acrylic (like a glass roof). The other was fibreglass, as is the whole body of the car. When you wanted to drive the car with no roof, the roof would be clipped in behind the seats.
It was a magnificent car to drive, with or without the roof. A real head turner.
The Chevrolet Corvette (C4) is the fourth generation of the Corvette sports car, produced by American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet from 1983 until 1996.
The engine is a V8 5.7 Litre/350 Cubic Inches. This car would crackle like the old V8s of the 60s and 70s... just a beautiful sound.
There are three cars I owned which I should not have sold. One was a 1972 HQ LS Monaro. Another one was a 1966 2+2 Mustang Fastback. And finally, I should not have sold the 1988 Corvette.
