Years and years ago, Turtle and I started discussing plans to someday backpack in the Hoosier National Forest. This trip, we finally get to visit one of the many areas that are part of our National Forest Land, Indiana's only federally designated wilderness area, the Charles C. Deam, and despite some hiccups, we're eager to come back.
