Novi Sad, Нови Сад, Neusatz or Újvidék is a city in the Vojvodina Region of Serbia. It is strategically located at the river Danube on the northern slopes of the Fruška Gora. The city has a population of 370,000. After Belgrade it is the second largest city of Serbia. Some highlights of the city are the city centre with the Town Hall and the Liberty Square, the Name of Mary Church, the Petrovaradin Clock Tower and Fortress, the Liberty Bridge, the Our Lady of Snow Church, the Synagogue, the Matica Srpska and the Bishop's Palace.
