After taking off from Dubai, our flight crossed the Gulf of Persia and entered into Iran. It crossed the snow clad mountain peaks and flew over Caspian Sea. Once the wheels touched the ground of Vnukovo International Airport-Moscow, my heart started pounding heavily with a feeling of profound joy.

The most interesting part was about to come, the immigration. Proper questions were asked by the able Russian officials and justified answers were given by me, hence, the permission granted to enter into the great nation. The E-visa which was obtained by yours truly, has got accepted.

The first glimpse of the Russian soil was something, the essence of which I will always carry in my heart. I took a metro from the Subway station situated just outside of the Vnukovo airport which took me to Arbatskaya. My hostel name was Boxtel Hostel which was located at Arbat Street. Distance from Arbatskaya sub-way station to my hostel was within a kilometre.

After checking in, I went for a walk in Arbat Street. The evening charm of the historical Arbat street was mesmerising. The tune of local Russian street performers was so captivating that I lost the track of time. By that time, I was totally stuffed by the local delicacies. The souvenir shops attracted me like magnet and I had my first glimpse of the great Russia doll, Matryoshka.

I wanted to prepare myself for the next day's commute and went to the Arbatskaya metro station once again to buy a Troika card. The enormous help I have received from the Russian people since I landed, took my respect for Mother Russia to the next level.

Then I thought of calling it a day and got into my hostel to grab a good night's sleep. The next day will be a busy one since I had the plans of visiting the great Red Square to see attractions like The Moscow Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, Grand Kremlin palace, Mausoleo De Lenin and Gum.
