Peace Returns To Malkangiri MV-26, But Internet Still Down

Internet services in Malkangiri district have been extended for another 24 hours and will remain suspended till 12 midnight today. The district administration has taken this step to maintain law and order. Normalcy is slowly returning to MV-26 village after a peace committee meeting between two groups. Villagers have started returning to their homes, though police deployment continues in the area. Tension had erupted after the headless body of a tribal woman was found, leading to arson and clashes. Section 163 was imposed and senior police officials, including the DGP, visited the village to review the situation. Despite improvement, internet services remain suspended as a precautionary measure.
