Why Was Die Nibelungen Nazi Germany’s Favorite Movie?

Prior to World War II, Adolf Hitler liked to end his evenings in the movie theater. From Weimar Germany to Hollywood America, the German Dictator would watch anything he could get his hands on. One of the films he watched was the most was Die Nibelungen, directed by Fritz Lang.

*Correction: Hitler received the Disney Mickey Mouse films in 1937.
