The characterisation of Dhyaan, lends authenticity to his suffering, conveying the depth of his suffering.

One of "Aanu's" most significant achievements is its ability to initiate important conversations about male survivors of assault, PTSD, and depression. It courageously confronts societal taboos and stigmas, fostering empathy and understanding. The film sends a clear message: these struggles are real, and deserving of our attention and compassion.
In addition to Dhyaan's story, "Aanu" serves as a reminder that many young boys experience similar traumatic incidents in various public spaces, such as bus stops, public restrooms, hostels, trains, and other forms of public transportation. While these situations may not be as extreme as Dhyaan's, the pain and trauma experienced by these survivors remain significant. In our patriarchal society, discussing such issues is often challenging, but "Aanu" aims to provide a platform for these individuals to express themselves and heal.

As a member of the crew, I am immensely proud of our collective effort to bring Dhyaan's story to the screen and shed light on the silent suffering of male survivors. "Aanu" is a testament to the power of cinema to address overlooked issues and encourage dialogue. It invites empathy, offers solace, and reminds us that every person's pain deserves recognition and support. This film is a compassionate step towards giving a voice to those who have long remained unheard.
