This is part 3 of our trip to Falkirk. You can’t go all the way there without seeing the absolutely stunning Kelpies.
These two 34ft horse heads sit along side the Forth and Clyde canal between Falkirk and Grangemouth. They were built in 2013 and serve to commemorate the amazing horses that used to work along the canals. Two real life Clydesdale horses were the models:
Duke - the horse looking at the floor
Baron - the horse looking to the sky
They look even better at night when they’re lit up in colours.
