This video is a collection of species of birds that I captured while out photographing wildlife in Bonfield Township and its surrounding areas in 2023. From Mattawa to North Bay all the species in this video can be found if one takes the time to get out in nature and sit back and listen. There are still many other species of birds that I did not see or photograph. In Ontario there are over 500 species of birds with 290 which breed in the province. In our area of the Nipissing District 306 species of birds have been observed on ebird. From resident birds like our Common Raven, Black-capped chickadee, and others, To migrants like the Snow Goose, American Pipit who pass through our area heading further north to breed and returning again in the fall as they head to wintering grounds in Mexico, Central and South America. Then we have the multitude of Warblers, Vireos, Thrushes, and others who fill our yards, and forests and call this area home during the spring and summer months as they raise their young during the breeding season. For those who love birds and life in Bonfield, sit back, relax and enjoy this video.
