During openings at trial over a fall from a house deck that paralyzed a Georgia man, Law & Moran's Peter Law, representing the plaintiffs, says evidence will show the man did not receive sufficient warning of an unsecured railing at the heart of the fall. Gray Rust St. Amand Moffett and Brieske’s Matthew Moffett, representing the defendant contractor, tells jurors evidence will show the man was repeatedly warned about the dangers of the deck, but chose to ignore those warnings.
Parties reached a confidential settlement in the case during jury deliberations.
