Testing the “2.0” Homemade Fluid Bed Sluice for Gold Prospecting!

Round 2 of making a homemade fluid bed sluice for gold prospecting and testing. It’s been fun making these to really get a better understanding of why these types of gold catching tools are the ones that I prefer when mining a spot. The most subtle tweaks make the difference in how the dirt will separate and there is quite a learning curve. On this day out I went back to an area that I have prospected and found gold. The clay is shallow and the gold has settled down into the gravels and made its home on top of the clay.
