Hello all! This ended up being a super long video, but this has been a year and a half of dealing with this infection and trying to set up my port care again. Hopefully, my next video about my port will have a much better ending.
Port infections are not fun things. If you have a central line and you feel even the slightest bit sick, even if you don't have a consistent fever, even if you only feel ill episodically, please please get your line cultured. If something similar happens to you, where you feel ill after using your line, you may have an infection in there that hasn't spread to your bloodstream. This can be so dangerous, and I wish someone had told me this before, which is why I'm saying it now.
