This car review is a dedication to DMX, a big iconic rapper who passed away in Yonkers, NY on April 9th due to drug overdose.
This is a review of the 7th generation(1994-96) Chevrolet Impalas. From the June 1994 Issue of Car and Driver enthusiasts and racers alike came to revere the Impala SS nameplate in the early Sixties. The "SS" stood ostensibly for "Super Sport," but if it reminded people of the Super Stock drag-racing class, that was A-okay with Chevrolet. From mid-1961 through 1969, the SS name adorned some of the fastest, most stylish, and best-equipped cars Chevy sold. Early models with the phenomenal 409-cubic-inch engine scorched drag strips, NASCAR tracks, and Pikes Peak. The public loved it. Sales soared, and the Beach Boys immortalized the Impala SS 409 in song.
The seventh generation of Chevrolet Impala was introduced for the 1994 model year. The Impala name was resurrected for a series of performance focused four door sedans known as the Impala SS. These cars were based on the Chevrolet Caprice, and were powered by a 5.7L 'LT1' V8 engine that produced 260hp. The Impala SS saw just under 70,000 examples built before production ended in 1996, when the Impala name was once again put on haitus. Chevrolet eventually reintroduced the name for the Eighth Generation Chevrolet Impala.
Many critics say this is "Ghetto Car". Actually, IT'S NOT. It depends on where you live. What they mean by "ghetto", is seeing driving these by either gang members or look a like gang members with the white t shirts down to there knees and the rap music shaking the whole block and they was not saying all black/mex people are ghetto just the people who choose to dress like they are. This also relates to the movie scenes I showed you guys in the video. The truth is, it is driven and owned by anyone, not just COLORED People.
