2024 IPRA NSW Round 3 Race 3 - 22.06.2024 - Matthew Giuntini #13 Honda Civic (First 3 laps)

Unfortunately the camera was still playing up and turned off after a few laps into the race. Luckily we caught the chaotic start to this race, where all the action happened!

Race 3 Matthew started from P6. We almost didn't make the start, as we had a last minute issue just as we were heading to the grid. The oil filter somehow came loose and dropped a fair amount of oil. We persevered through the stress and made sure it was tightened properly and filled back up with oil, making it to the grid just on time.

The rain eased up in the afternoon but the track was still wet and very slippery. Off the start Matthew managed to get from P6 to P4 into turn 1, then into P2 coming out of turn 2. Into turn 8 he made a move for the lead and made it stick! Matthew put his head down and pushed through the rain that had started to get heavier and managed to get another race win!

This result meant that Matthew won the round overall! First win in IPRANSW, and what a way to make it happen. Some harsh weather conditions really put on some awesome racing up and down the field.
