The Early Bird interview on CBC Manitoba's Morning Weekend Show hosted by Nadia Kidwai 2/15/25. Inspired by Gordon Goldsborough's Abandoned Manitoba segment the prior week, Jason Gilmore reached out to CBC to tell more of the story of Dauphin's rail turntable.
Dauphin's 129 storied rail history is preserved with several remaining structures, with one being the rail turntable that dates back to 1906. This turntable remains the only remaining turntable in Manitoba.
Late last year, the City of Dauphin wished to remove the turntable due its location but the Dauphin Rail Museum has undertaken an initiative to preserve this artifact.
