Want something healthy but easy? Try this Shrimp & Vegetable Stir Fry with Beansprouts recipe! It’s quite a fusion of tastes, too! The fried tokwa gives it a Filipino feel, the mixed vegetables makes it taste like the Japanese Yasai Itame but adding the gochujang gives the dish a touch of Korean spice!
This can be eaten as a side dish, main dish or even used as filling for fried lumpia!
Shrimp & Vegetable Stir Fry with Bean Sprouts
Ingredients (Serves 8)
2 ½ cups mung bean sprouts (togue)
10pcs shrimps, peeled
8 cloves garlic, minced
½ onion, julienned
½ carrot, julienned
1 ½ cup (100g) cabbage, cut into long strips
1 ½ cup tokwa (pan-fry this first)
1 cup (100g) shimeji mushrooms
1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chilli paste)
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 tsp garlic powder (to season shrimps)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp Shaoxing wine (Chinese cooking wine)
1 tbsp sugar
Roasted sesame seeds, for garnish, optional
Bonito flakes, for garnish, optional
