No Country for Old Men: Social Horror

Whoa differences! No Country for Old Men is a 2007 film produced and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, starring Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones, and Woody Harrelson. It's often described as a neo-western or a western thriller. And it surely is, but to me it's also at least horror adjacent. Yes, Anton Chigurh is the non-supernatural Jason, a biological Terminator. But for me, the horror elements really come from the environment itself.
