Gongura Pulusu Kura | Andhra Style Tangy & Spicy Curry Recipe

Craving something tangy, spicy, and packed with authentic Andhra flavor? Try this Gongura Pulusu Kura – a traditional dish made with fresh sorrel leaves (gongura), green chilies, tomatoes, and a flavorful tempering that will make your kitchen smell heavenly!
Ingredients Used:
🌿 Gongura Leaves
🌶️ Green Chilies & Dried Red Chilies
🍅 Tomatoes & Onions
🧄 Garlic
🥄 Turmeric, Red Chilli Powder, Tamarind & Salt
✨ Mustard, Cumin, Urad Dal, Chana Dal
🌿 Curry Leaves & Hing
🛢️ Oil & 1 Glass of Water
Cooking Process:
1. Cook gongura leaves, green chilies, turmeric & red chilli powder.
2. Add tamarind, salt, tomatoes & onions. Mix well and cook with the lid on.
3. Grind into a smooth paste and keep it aside.
4. In a wok, heat oil and prepare tadka with mustard, cumin, dals, garlic, red chillies, curry leaves & hing.
5. Add the gongura paste and mix well.
6. Pour in water, more salt & chilli powder.
7. Cook till oil separates & flavors come together!
8. Turn off the heat and let it rest.
Serve it hot with steamed rice or roti — it’s a flavor explosion you’ll love!
