Let's make a pillow from a jelly roll, scraps or whatever you happen to have on hand. It doesn't have to be Christmas fabric, make it totally your own!
Supplies used:
Muslin and cotton batting for front of pillow cut at 21” x 16”
After sewing, the front was trimmed down to 20.5” x 15”
two pieces for pillow back. Mine measured appropriately 20.5” x 15” and 20.5” x 12”. You need them to overlap for a snug fit.
Strips from Jelly Roll or scrappy strips from your scrap bin.
The jelly roll that I used is from Moda, and it’s called “Hello Holidays” and can be seen here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/14994886...
2 pieces of Muslin for pillow form, cut to inside finished dimension, plus 1” - mine were cut at 19” x 13”
*polyester filling for pillow. I used a cheap pillow from Walmart, like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/744932389
Markers used can be seen here: LEONIS Disappearing Ink Fabric Marking pen https://a.co/d/246HI5D
Miscellaneous supplies used: pins, magic sizing, spray basting, scissors, rotary cutter, iron, sewing machine and coordinating thread.
I mentioned scrappy strip packs, which can be seen here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/24932779...
A huge thank you to Kimberley from the Etsy shop MyFabricAddiction1 for the beautiful jelly roll that I used in todays video!
