「信義」 Winter Cicada

This video contains SPOILERS for the OVA Fuyu no Semi/Winter Cicada.

"If it weren't this age, we also might have been able to be together."

This amv was inspired by a Merlin MV (which I cannot find right now) with the same song and thematics. Without ever having watched Merlin, it actually made me cry, and I immediately had to think of Haru wo Daiteita, and the included story Fuyu no Semi. I had only read the manga back then, and sadly I was quite disappointed by the OVA of HWD (seriously, it's SO bad, it was so hard even just scraping a few scenes together for this video) but in the end I was rewarded by the beauty that is Fuyu no Semi. I cannot say I like the OVA more than the manga, but they did a fantastic job with the Animation. There aren't many stories that made me cry as much as Fuyu no Semi did. In all honesty - it's one of the most tragic love stories ever written.

I hope you will enjoy this video, even though it's not supposed to be anything special. I just wanted to give that sad story some sort of hopefulness, I guess.

Lastly, I want to dedicate this video to Kate and Pola. I had intended to make a happier video for you some day, but this will have to do for now. I hope you know that you're two special people to me, and that I am not mad at you in any way. It's just the feeling of sadness and frustration that pushed me to react the way I did. Even though we don't get to talk that much, I have always so much fun when I'm with you. Thanks for taking me under your wing, and letting me be part of your studio. I'm very sad you both are planning to give up editing on top of everything else. It's a big loss for the yaoi community, you know? :) Much love from me, don't cry to much over the video, he...
