Here I try a GI Statement power cable on the BAlabo DAC. The results are subtle but very apparent once you start going back and forth comparing. Another thing to try is just close your eyes. You should have headphones or earbuds. Close your eyes and just ask yourself which one seems more real and alive ? Stock power cable starts at 3:57 Grand Illlusion starts at 7:47. Enjoy !
Listen to piano at 4:25 then 8:25. (click on the numbers here) the second one is much more real sounding with proper harmonic and sustain. Also after her verse "beauty Ive always missed" there is a guitar part with an arched note. listen to how its separate and pops more on the second version. Next verse "with these old eyes before" listen to the bass after second version, the bass notes are better defined, not as flubby.
Try the verse at 5:35 then 9:35 "I dont think they can understand" , which one has emotion that you can feel to it ?
