The following is the email I have sent as a formal complaint.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Shinu Manuel, and I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an incident I encountered on November 11, 2024, at around 3:15 PM, on the Moolamattom-Thodupuzha route.

While driving my car near the Hilly Aqua Drinking Water Plant, I witnessed a KSRTC bus (registration number KL15 8188 Nedumkandam Rajakkad bus) driving recklessly. The bus was on the wrong side of the road, heading directly towards my vehicle. I had to quickly maneuver my car to the side to avoid a collision, but the bus continued its dangerous course, only stopping at the last moment, directly in front of my car.

This entire event was captured by the dash cam of my car, and I have attached the video footage for your reference. In the video, you can clearly see the bus operating in the wrong lane and coming dangerously close to my vehicle. The driver did not appear to be taking any responsibility for the situation, and the conductor was seen walking away casually without any concern for what had happened.

The bus was blocking traffic while the conductor was purchasing drinking water. The dangerous part of this situation is that the bus was parked directly in the middle of the road, forcing me and other vehicles to maneuver around it.

This could have easily led to an accident, as the driver did not bother to park in a safer location or take the time to walk a short distance to buy water. There was ample space nearby where the vehicle could have been parked safely, without causing any obstruction to other road users. Instead, the bus remained on the wrong side of the road, causing a significant hazard.

I immediately spoke to the driver, asking him why he was driving in such a reckless manner. His response was dismissive, and he did not seem to understand the gravity of the situation. I asked him if he had any consideration for the safety of other road users, and his reply was a display of arrogance, as if such behavior was acceptable.

It was shocking to witness such disregard for road safety and basic traffic rules. If this continues, it could easily lead to serious accidents. This is not an isolated incident, and I am aware that many KSRTC drivers sometimes exhibit similar behavior on the roads. It is essential that corrective action be taken to ensure the safety of the public.

I kindly request that an investigation be conducted into this matter and that appropriate disciplinary action be taken against the driver and the conductor involved. Public transportation staff must be held accountable for their actions, especially when their behavior jeopardizes the safety of others on the road.

Please let me know what steps will be taken regarding this complaint.
