About the recipe
आलू टिक्की also known as potato patties are basically North Indian snack. it is one of the most popular chat items here in India. an extremely easy and less time consuming dish, which you can even make it plain or stuff it with your favourite filling.
we usually enjoy this with green chutney mint chutney and tarmarind chutney for some ketchup.
ingredients:
aloo tikki needs very few basic ingredients. but, as there is no specific rules to add fixed ingredients. you can surely advertiser favouring element you wish to.
1. boiled potatoes
2. rice flour and corn flour
3. chopped coriander leaves
4. red chilli powder
5. green chillies
6. salt
you can a bit of garam masala as well as some chat masala for intense flavour, I have not added here.
TIP : DO NOT FORGET too cool the boil potatoes completely before adding cornstarch to it. or the tikki mixture will become too sticky to handle.
HOW TO MAKE TIKKI
mashed potatoes in a bowl. do not mash it too fine or too thick.
add all the ingredients in a bowl.
now mix it is well to form the tikki mixture.
take small amount of mixture and shape it into tikki.
repeat the same for all the mixture.
once the oil is hot gently placed the tikki on the pan and fry them on medium heat.
now flip and fry the tikki and the side until golden brown and crispy.finally take them out and place it on absorbent paper and then repeat the same for all the parties.
sab 30 hot and crispy aloo patties with chutney .
