Thailand is obviously known for being extremely hot all year round. It does, however, get a little cooler in the winter months. The coldest months in Thailand are typically in December and January. A few cooler days/weeks are a "warm" welcome in Thailand. Thais will often travel to the north in order to experience the colder weather.
That being said, I feel that the north of Thailand is far more beautiful in the end of October and beginning of November just before the rice harvest - the green colours of the paddy fields are stunning.
