A video about how to fabricate a custom Aluminum fan shroud for the dual 11 inch SPAL fans for use in a C3 Corvette. I show how I made and installed a fan shroud to secure the fans to the radiator and avoid clearance issues. This shroud also allows for greater cooling capacity because the fans draw air across the entire radiator core surface. I designed and built this shroud primarily for a cleaner installation and for future repair of the AC system which will need good airflow across the radiator and condenser cores. Video also contains information about my fan control upgrade and wiring strategy. These SPAL fans are great! The PWM SPAL fan controller, NOT SO MUCH! Here, I upgrade to Derale Fan controls and an RPM activated interrupt to cut power to the fans at highway speeds.
