In this video, I go over servicing a mountain bike headset. People make very common mistakes when performing this service, which usually end up destroying a bearing over time.
I go over headset knock as well, as this bike had a slight knock, so go over what it sounds like and how to fix it.
the headset in the video is a Chris King Inset, but the advice applies to all headsets: Cane Creek, FSA, Industry Nine, Raceface, Thomson etc.
I also review the Parktool Dummy fork 1 DF-1 and provide my thoughts. Out of the box, the tool is basically a useless waste of money, but I explain how you can fix that and turn it into a handy tool.
