This is the Ancient Street 老街 in Huangshan City in China. The vibes there, so to speak, were great. I found it confirmed my and many others feeling that old-style architecture and street construction are more meaningful. Chinese Ancient Streets are another way we try to gain a connection to an ideal past. Although I make it clear I'm not romanticizing the poverty of the pre-developed world, I take you around Old Street Huangshan City China to make the case for a harkening back in our town construction.
