Original Composition - Network Hyperscape (3DS/Wii U/Frutiger Aero Inspired)

=== DESCRIPTION ===
This track is heavily inspired by the ambient themes heard in various console menus, such those made for the 3DS/Wii U.

As a result the inspiration for this track comes from a similar source to an older original composition of mine (   • Original Composition - Internet Discovery  ), though I didn't know this track was also going to end up being themed around network connectivity haha.
Ultimately this track ended up being pretty different from that one though, so I don't feel too bad about having two tracks themed around the concept, especially given how far apart they are.

That said, I'm really happy with how this track turned out. I wanted it to sound ambient and high-tech, and feel nostalgic, but also ended up making it a bit more energetic. In that sense it's more of a 'complete' track than the more ambient loops you'd get playing in console menus, but I think that's fair given it let me run with some of my ideas a bit more.
Besides, the idea of it playing in a console menu isn't set in stone, that's just what I ended up theming it around broadly.

As I was finishing working on the track I had a few ideas for the video, and ended up with a pretty clear image in my head of what I wanted it to look like, so I ended up trying to make that. I designed the Wi-Fi icon in Figma, found some stock footage on Pixabay and a nice Liquid Glass effect to add some texture, then worked to combine it all into a somewhat-abstract video that felt like it fit the track's theme to me.

I'm pretty happy with how the video ended up looking, especially the colors.
I feel like a clear sky with a glassy baloon-like Wi-Fi icon drifting in the breeze hits a certain frutiger-aero adjacent button in my brain, that could perhaps have been the backdrop for a non-existant console's user interface.

Overall, as I said I am pretty happy with how this all turned out, and while I recognise there are some elements that probably could have been improved, I'm glad I managed to get it to a point I feel satisfied with.
