My Bali experience is just different to others. Ubud, Bali.

In today’s walk around Ubud I begin in the market with my current favorite Bali dish - Burbur. I sit on the corner of Monkey Forrest Road and Jalan Raya and use my hands which a few older people appreciate.

I buy my morning bunch of bananas from my regular lady and I ask for help in identifying the lumps I see growing on the necks of many older Indonesian women.

A group of workers are taking a break from fitting the thatch to a restaurant roof and I ask about the cost and process of what they’re doing.

I tell the story of a village in Lombok who stole the airport runway lights.

Yesterday I met with Adam from Sanur Diaries who was kind enough to visit me and he tells his story of why he came to Bali and what he’s doing with his channel.

On the way home I chat with local friends Putu and Yuday.
