Garden railway. A visit at the Pine Hill Railway, in Norway

Welcome to Furubakken hagejernbane – Pine Hill Railway (PHRy).

Kjell Anderdal has built this livesteam garden railway in Norway, which has about 40 meters (120 feet) of tracks and sidings. The gauge is 32mm.

In this video we will run different gas fired and radio controlled livesteam locomotives. They are all made by Roundhouse Engineering in Doncaster England, and are delivered by Livingsteam Gardenrailways in Norway.

The rolling stock is different brands – mostly built from kits and weathered nicely by Kjell. The scale for locomotives and rolling stock is 16mm to 1 foot (1/19).

All buildings are made from kits or scratch built by Kjell.

The garden railway is often used as a base for meetings. There are a lot of people that own locomotives of this kind, but many do not have a railway were to drive them. Sometimes it can be up to 20 locomotive-owners gathered in the garden, driving trains together on the garden railway.
