Elite Deep Dive: Deadman's Huldrum

Wanted to play some vanilla scout. No OCs, OG weapons and nades. I went in blind, so I experienced each stage fresh other than 1 early restart when I realized I wasn't recording audio 1/3rd of the way through Stage 1. Come to find out my aim is still shit without some form of assist on a weapon (AOE, projectile size, LOK1, etc). Controller life I guess.

Stage 1 low o2 does not make for a happy Scout. I felt pressured to just wait for swarm timers over just dying without oxygen further on. And this shows the first cracks of my skillset. I struggle to hit regular ass Mactera even with Critical Weakness helping. When in doubt, run in circles with shotgun, herp derp.

Stage 2 I remember thinking "don't forget that, you can see the blue bits", and then promptly walked away to the main room, dreadless. The hold locations (mixed with Rocky Mountain beer) were pretty reasonable. I realized after I was ready though that the Dread was in the starter room. It's also nice that the waves are honestly more impactful than the actual defense of the holds. Trickle versus big wave. I still for some reason thought the bubble hold was complete zipped out for no reason, having to rekite for a bit afterwords. A win is a win though.

Stage 3 I've been practicing 4 egg speedplay and getting about 3:30 on hazard 5 with Scout and RJ Engie so I figured this would be fine. Come to find out spending hundreds of hours on a loadout you are familiar with changes everything and by the time I arrived I was too scared to multi-pull due to my inability to hit weakpoints on Elite Mactera. So I played like a wee little bitch until I won. lol

Default Scout is *fine*. If I could aim I'd argue the only thing it would probably struggle with (other than true swarm clear) is multiple Elite Mactera in the same cloud.
