As an accounting/finance professor, I started a project in which I invest $12.50 each week in a model stock portfolio of dividend-paying stocks to show my college accounting students that we can use the accounting concepts we learn in class to help us pick stocks (in this case, stocks that pay dividends and now tech stocks in a separate portfolio).
