From its beginnings as a mere station identifier set to music, ABS-CBN’s Christmas IDs—now an anticipated annual event for the Kapamilya “network”—have always featured its artists alongside its employees and even audiences.
But usually taking prominence near the end of the video are those seen as the company’s biggest talents especially that year.
Dubbed as “billing”, these solo frames of artists (and even on-screen love teams) usually cap off with the most prominent person for the year.
These shots, along with the various takes of ABS-CBN stable of artists throughout the ID are considered a “gift to fans”, according to the makers of the Christmas ID from ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management (CCM).
