In honor of Women's History Month, Nancy Sims discusses her collection at University of Houston Special Collections, her career, her professional and personal experiences, and her thoughts and hopes for the future. A native Texan, Sims is a parent, public relations professional, professor, and pundit. Sims has worked on numerous political campaigns and has been teaching the Women in Politics course at UH for nearly twenty years. As the senior vice president of Pierpont Communications and now the owner of Nancy Sims LLC, she guides her clients from energy companies to top retailers on areas of reputation management, crisis communications, government relations, and much more. She holds a bachelor's degree in politics from Sam Houston State University and a master's degree in political science and women's studies from University of St. Thomas.
