Hi YouTubers, new demo of my Gibson L5-C from 1953. She is equipped with a floating Charlie Christian pickup made upon request by Pete Biltoft.
Tune played is "Dancing on the Ceiling", a favorite of mine since I heard Chets Baker's version many years ago. Notably, the first 6 bars of the impro section are an excerpt of Chet's memorable solo.
Gear used: Fender Deluxe amp reissue, recorded with Shure SM 57 microphone in front of the amp. Strings: Thomastik-Infled swing (12'", 50"); Plectre: JC Dugain, made out of buffalo horn.
Backtrack is from Aebersold vol. 131 " Cry me a River". I've removed the piano section to give more room to my playing. Heck, I usually don't play with pianists...
