My Thoughts on Nintendo Switch 2 Game Pricing

First-party Nintendo Switch 2 games are reportedly going to cost $70 to $80 digital and $80 to $90 for the physical copy. The reason why developers increase their prices are due to a variety of factors like tariffs and import tax, but it also mostly boils down to overall greed since they know gamers and consumers are willing to buy their products at any cost.

I don’t think the Switch 2 is worth buying unless you have the money to shill out for the new console plus the pricey launch titles, or if you’re a streamer or a content creator that does gameplay videos.

The thing I don't get is that the same exact people who complain about the high price tag are the same ones who are going to continue buying it anyway. Just like how every time Apple comes out with a new exorbitantly priced iPhone, everyone and their mother buys them in droves.

I would say to hold off on buying the Switch 2 or any of the games until the prices drop to a reasonable amount, but I'm afraid that won't work since the average consumer is rock stupid and they don't know when to say no. Besides, Nintendo games rarely go on sale or decrease in value.
