Another adventure on the IMPOSSIBLE RAILROAD in Southern California, United States. Accompanying me on this journey in the ZORRITO railcar today is my friend Francisco and his son, who weren't expecting everything that was about to happen. My goal was for them to personally see the GOAT CANYON TRESTLE, that impressive bridge or viaduct made of Red Quebracho wood, which remains imposing despite the passage of time. It's a journey of approximately 15 km, starting from DOS CABEZAS, an old station where only an old water tank and the foundations of the station remain. We immediately started having problems with the old and faithful ZORRITO railcar. Due to several previous strong impacts and derailments, it had become misaligned; it's no longer straight and needs a trip to the workshop for chassis and axle alignment (maintenance). After a few meters, we had to stop to loosen all the bolts and straighten it by eye, since the wheel flanges were rubbing heavily against the rail. Once that was fixed, we continued the journey. Halfway there, as usual, the ZORRITO started to speed up, but at the exit of tunnel #19 there was a rock that we saw too late, due to the reflection of the sun, and at the speed we were going, it was impossible to brake. I even honked the air horn and it didn't move, hahahaha, the rock, which is there due to a landslide and lack of maintenance, as the area is forgotten or abandoned. We bent the end of the railcar's axle and a piece of the wheel broke off. But that didn't stop us or the ZORRITO. We straightened the axle with the same rock that hit us, using primitive methods, blow after blow, until it was more or less straight. Since our goal was to reach the bridge, we continued the journey, with a few more complications, which you will see in the video. Pushing the railcar to the maximum!!! My friends were able to see the viaduct, I took some drone footage, and now it was time for the return trip!!! We arrived at night, without lights, only with the light of our cell phones. It was a trip that was supposed to take no more than 3 hours, but it took us 7. But we made it there and back thanks to the old Fox, who has never let us down in the California and Arizona desert. Greetings to everyone!!! Enjoy the video!!! Thank you!!! ARCHIE....
