MOU to boost regional trade

A local supermarket chain has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Agriculture in neighbouring St Vincent and the Grenadines, aimed at increasing imports and promoting regional trade.

Managing Director at Channell Enterprises Limited, Ronald Catlyn, inked the MOU alongside Minister Saboto Caesar recently in Kingstown.

A release from St. Vincent's Ministry of Agriculture says through the MOU, Channell and Trimart supermarkets will establish a relationship with consolidators in that country to provide greater opportunities for farmers and fishers to export to Barbados.

Minister Caesar will meet with Vincentian farmers to develop a basket of goods to export to Barbados.
