In our second episode of the HighExistence podcast we talk with Tom Shroder and Nicholas Blackstone. Tom is the author of Acid Test, LSD, Ecstasy and the Power to Heal, a truly phenomenal book about the potential of using psychedelics as medicines, told through the lives of Rick Doblin who we had on our first podcast, Michael Mithoefer, a psychedelic therapist and Nicholas.
Nicholas is a former marine who shares hist story about MDMA assisted therapy that enabled him to go deep inside and confront the demons that haunted him after heavy combat in Iraq.
This was a very personal conversation that showed us the importance of healing trauma in ourselves and our communities, and that legalization of psychedelics, the medicines that can greatly assist us in this goal, is perhaps the most important civil rights issue today.
