Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Mushroom 8 alternative easy stratergy for 85 hits

The real attempt starts at 03:50

This stratergy envolves using the berserk mode found on fatal crest keyblade (you can also use the ability if you have it) and then before starting the challenge, set your form ready on final form, drain your MP with cure, and start using horizontal slash. Once you get to around 45 hits or around the time when the mushroom is pushed back a third time.

Either immediately go final form or even better if your in the position, get under the mushroom and then change into final form, this will give you a bit more time to work with since the form change launches the mushroom upward.

Now use firaga and make sure not to spam firaga too fast or you will use a firaga while the mushroom is flying in the air.

Once you use your final firaga which then drains your MP (you can see this because firaga turns yellow in the quick command window)

Then jump and attack the mushroom while still in final form to get the last few hits in.

This should easily bring you over 85.

Also try and get the mushroom over to the train while doing your horizontal slash.

I left some of my failed attemps in the video to showcase some of the ways it can go wrong (deffinately not because i'm too lazy to edit the video)
