MARBLE LEAGUE 2023🐝 Closing Ceremony - Golden Brown

"Gold in our hearts" Queen Beetrix said, after the end of Marble League 2023, which saw the Bumblebees fighting for the championship as hosts against the arguably best team of ML, the Savage Speeders. Not only the Bumblebees were the favourites in the last event for ML23 but also the first hosting team to do so on home soil!
However, not everything went well. After fending off the impressive attack from Red Eye in the Honeydome GP, Bumble lost their momentum, and at the bee-dance section Red Eye seized the opportunity, dived down the inside, took P1 in the Grand Prix, and the championship.
The Bumblebees couldn't believe in their eyes. They were proud of their team. They finished a best-career second place in the standings! But they were so close to win the championship for the first time. At least they broke the host curse.
The title was inspired by "Golden Brown" by the Stranglers, however the music nor the meaning is associated to the song. But the colour of honey? That's something closer to that!
In the end another team got the honey...
