We currently have vacancies at all three of our day centres, which provide a range of activities and services for older people, people with learning disabilities and people with physical disabilities.
The centres provide some of the following benefits:
▪️ Social inclusion within the local community
▪️ Making new friends
▪️ Combating loneliness
▪️ Engaging in familiar and new activities
▪️ Maintaining physical independence
▪️ Learning new skills
▪️ Intellectual stimulation
▪️ Emotional support
▪️ Support family and long-term carers with respite options and improve the quality of life for everyone involved.
Each of our day centres are aimed at particular groups:
▪️ Sheen Lane Day Centre is for people aged 60+ with physical disability/frailty and or sensory loss or impairment. The centre focuses on helping individuals maintain as much independence as possible to improve their quality of life and remain within their community.
▪️ The Woodville Centre is a specialist service for individuals with a diagnosis of moderate to severe Dementia who focus on sensory stimulation, alongside combined activities.
▪️ The Access Project is for people aged 18 – 65 with physical and/or learning disabilities, neurological conditions, and sensory loss. The centre has a broad range of individuals who attend and is therefore adaptive to varying needs.
All the centres aim to improve quality of life by bringing people together and helping people to be independent.
