Today in Kuta, the weather was partly cloudy and perfect for a long walk. The sunset was stunning, and you will see a beautiful Kuta sunset in this video. We started walking from Kuta Beach, where coastal erosion is getting worse. The shoreline is shrinking, and the pedestrian area along Kuta Beach is badly damaged. This area needs urgent attention from the authorities.
We continued our walk to Kuta Beach Road and turned right to Bakungsari Street. Then we walked straight along the legendary Kartika Plaza Street until we reached Discovery Mall. We went to the beachfront area behind the mall, and it was very crowded. There was a live performance, and many visitors were enjoying the amazing sunset from the Discovery Mall beachfront. Most of them were domestic tourists.
We kept walking back to Kuta Beach through Kuta Art Market Road. We stopped at the beach to watch the deep red sunset. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets in Kuta this week.
Kuta is iconic, and it would be a shame if this coastline continues to deteriorate. Hopefully, the right conservation efforts can protect this legendary beach for the future.
