The DAX leads gains at the open - calm in German politics also helping, as Chinese stocks end the day flat near unchanged levels after having earlier posted heavy losses in Asian trading. The rebound there is helping to keep sentiment in the equities space a little better and that should continue into US trading later unless we get more surprises along the way.
