Oral Arguments by Prof. Luís Roberto Barroso before the Brazilian Supreme Court on same sex unions, on behalf of the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro, as broadcast by the official court network (TV Justiça).
The Court went on to grant the petitioner's request for equal treatment to same sex unions as to conventional common law marriages, in an historical turnaround for same sex couples -- and to all others committed to equality -- in Brazil (ADPF 132).
