He clarifies Shraviṣṭhā’s mysterious deity, Vasu, showing the merits of considering Vasu as both Vasu-deva (Viṣṇu) and the Aṣṭha-vasu (Elements of Reality), but suggesting a new, third interpretation of Vasu as the individual rays of divine consciousness. He also depicts Śraviṣṭhā as part of a nakṣatra pair with Śravaṇa.
