I live in a big house. The house is very clean. Everything is white and shiny. But I am not happy. My name is Pamela. Alan is my husband. He is rich. He buys me nice things. But I cannot go out alone. Every morning, Alan comes to me. He has two blue pills in his hand.
"Take these pills," he says. "What are these pills?" I ask. "They are vitamins. They are good for you," he says. I take the pills. I put them in my mouth. I drink water. Alan looks at me. He does not leave. He waits. I must eat the pills when he is there. After I take the pills, I feel sleepy. My head is heavy. I sit on the sofa.
I close my eyes. When I open my eyes, it is afternoon. Where did the morning go? I do not remember. This happens every day. I try to do things in the house. I cook food. I clean the rooms. But bad things happen. I hold a cup. The cup falls. It breaks on the floor. I turn off the stove.
