To the Commanders of Super Earth,

Our march through the new worlds continues, bringing us to K, another freshly revealed Automaton-controlled furnace. Just like Fury, this planet is coated in lava rivers, eruptions, and enough radiant heat to cook a Helldiver inside their own armor. A brand-new mission type joined the chaos: destroy four Bio-Processors buried deep within this volcanic nightmare.

I carried the AR-2 Coyote, wearing the I-44 Salamander for its crucial 75% fire resistance — because on K, the terrain is just as committed to killing you as the Automatons. Operational variations included Intense Heat, causing periods of scorching temperatures that drain stamina faster and force weapons to overheat at breakneck speed.

My stratagem loadout: Eagle 500kg Bomb, LAS-99 Quasar Cannon, LIFT-850 Jump Pack, A/MLS-4X Rocket Sentry. A dependable kit — though nothing feels dependable when lava geysers are going off next to you.

We pushed through the chaos, destroyed all four Bio-Processors, and fought our way across terrain that kept trying to swallow us whole. Only a few clones were used this mission — one by me — and we walked away with two stars, which honestly feels like a small miracle given that the planet and the bots formed an unofficial partnership to end us.

Extraction was successful for most of us… except for the one Helldiver who didn’t survive the final push. He fell, and with the clock ticking, we had no choice but to leave him behind on that burning rock.

We’re continuing to test the new Beta Slim Version of Helldivers 2 on the RTX 5090 and i7-14700K, watching how it handles heat-heavy, effect-dense missions like this.

Recorded on a dedicated PC with a capture card, in 4K Ultra settings, with MSI Afterburner monitoring performance throughout. In-game settings are shown at the start of every video.
