I wish I could say that we were kicking this channel off with a great trail that I loved from start to finish... But if I were, it would be a complete lie. The MST definitely had some great moments, but for each of these moments of awesome, there were 10 moments of misery and struggle! Let's just say this was the first trail I've ever been on where I almost quit after the first few hours on... But you will see first hand, the pain I went through to ultimately finish this hike! On these first 2 days I only made it about 15 miles to the Scenic View Campground. Here I decided to take my first zero day so that I could try to figure out all the new recording tech that I had brought with me. I met and made friends with the owners, Fred and Miranda who were both super awesome and gave me the motivation I needed to face the next few days on the trail! They did more than they know for me and my mental state of mind. These first 2 days set the stage for what was to come and the part of me that would be challenged the most.. My own head..
